The Stingray R is a limited production variant on the C8 Stingray. This vehicle is limited to only 50 vehicles to ever be produced. The R has an exposed carbon fibre roof an optional extra that is no longer avaibable on any australian delivered Stingray. The Jake graphics paying homage too "Jake" the official mascot and logo of Corvette Racing, featuring a stylized skull with Corvette crossed-flags for eyes. Introduced around 2005-2006, the logo represents the team's "edgy" and tenacious spirit, appearing on race cars, team gear, and official merchandise.
